Easel Card with Stick Pins

Hello friends and thanks for dropping in today.

Over at the Pride we did a little swap this month. First swap I have been in seems like forever.

The challenge was to create an easel card and 5 stick pins. If you don't know by now, I'm not very good at making cards. I have the hardest time layering them and getting them the way I'd like them to look.

I hope my friend over at the Pride, JustaFewFriends, Krystal likes what I sent her.

I used  Black Currant, a DCWV cardstock stack. Love those colors and I know Krystal loves the dark colors too.

I'm not all that great at measuring either...so my mats are just a tad off...but they are still usable. lol

I added a paper piecing of robins in a nest that is from TBD and used with permission. Added some velvet black bows to match the paper. So pretty! 

I love the lace ribbon that I added to the bottom, I know Krystal isn't too keen on lace...but this ribbon was so pretty and went so well with the card, I just had to use it.

The roses I made from the leftover paper....I even made the tiny ivory ones too!

Count Your Blessings!

Have you ever just stopped to count your blessings?

I do not do it often enough. Most days I just complain and carry on about nothing in particular. When I saw this cute file over at Paper Piecings by Nikki, I had to buy it and cut it out.

 There are just so many blessings to be thankful for.

With Father's Day tomorrow, I'm thankful for the Daddy that I had in my life. Can't say I remember a whole lot about him, but I know he was a strong, gentle man who loved me with all of his heart. 

I'm most thankful for my wonderful husband this Father's Day. We are raising a precious little boy together and he shows me everyday the strength that he has. He's patient, kind, understanding, playful, loving, and he also disciplines.

I love watching the young man our little boy is turning into because of those things.

 To challenge the DT over at Trendy Twine we were asked to create a tag using a manilla tag, two buttons and some TRENDY TWINE.

Love my TRENDY TWINE in Cherry Cupcake. It is so yummy!! Cute little bows and the top and bottom of the bubble gum machine was done in Cherry Cupcake.

Personally, I love color and this card expresses that!

Father's Day Pride Project

Hi!

I'm so excited to be able to participate in the Pride's roaring fun project this month!

This month's theme was Father's Day.

My own father passed away over 37 yrs ago...so this project is dedicated to my wonderful husband who is also a Wonderful father!

Come on into my den and pounce around with us today.

I used a simple $1 frame that I got at Michael's and decorated. I gave it a rough look...because boys are just rough...always ready to pounce and play.

I used the Mybuddy, Mydaddy file from Scrappingbug designs. It just wouldn't be complete if I didn't use some Trendy Twine Kraft twine!

I had a lot of fun with this little project. Now it's time to go on the prowl and check out Tina's project!
