Mary Bear Poppins

It's a Mary Bear Poppins kind of day!
One of my passions in the scrap booking world is making tear bears. I can do just about anything or type of bear when I set my mind to it. I'm guest designing this month for Paper Piecing by Nikki (PPbN).  Nikki has the best files to make tear bears from.
Today I used the Practically Perfect in Every Way file.
I tweaked it just a bit and turned it into a tear bear.
Little white mulberry gloves. Added some specialty ribbon and lace. Don't you just love her little petticoat? The umbrella is even rocking it out. Oh how fun she would look on your scrap booking page of your perfect little girl or maybe even a hand made card to brighten someones day.
If you would like to bid on her, click HERE
Here are just a few more close ups of the old girl:

Here's to having a

Christmas in July?

Christmas in July?
You betcha!

For my very first solo post for Trendy Twine we were to use the Berry Red and come up with something on our own using this terrific twine.

What better way to advertise Berry Red than with a little Christmas project?
I love Christmas, not matter what time of the year.

I decided to make a gift card holder that was given to me FREE from Scrapping Bug Designs.
Recipe:
Freebie file from Scrapping Bug Designs
Cardstock from DCWV
Berry Red Trendy Twine
Buttons
Glossy Accents

Make you sure you check out Trendy Twine's Blog to see all the great posts this month for our design team members. They are all rocking their projects.
Also remember about the Challenge that you can enter to win some free Berry Red this month. Make sure you read the rules before you participate.

Here are a few more close ups of my project:

Thanks for dropping by today.
I really enjoy when you stop by and visit.

Stars and Stripes with the Pride

Stars and Stripes with the Pride

Hello and thanks for stopping by my den today. The Pride has been pouncing around and creating some awesome 4th of July inspirations for you.
For the month of July our challenge to play around with was Stars and Stripes!
I'm very patriotic. I love the 4th of July and believe in what our Country was founded on....Faith in God.
As I was pouncing around ideas in my head I came across a cutting file from PPbN called Independence Day. It was perfect for my Stars and Stripes theme.
Add a little Trendy Twine of Blueberry and Berry Red what a combo I came up with.
All of the paper piecing is hand colored with my promarkers. I just love to color and it is a great stress reliever.
I added some cute little star buttons to the ribbons and there is even a heart button in the center of the star on the hat.
The one little bear is holding a pom-pom made of Trendy Twine. I threw in some Prima flowers with card stock sticker centers and I have a set that is worthy of gracing my scrap book page. Can't wait to use it!

Thanks for dropping by and have a safe and Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July~Berry Red Trendy Twine

Happy 4th of July!
Today is my very first post as a DT member of Trendy Twine! So excited to be able to share what I've been working on for the month of July Challenge over at Trendy Twine (just click here to be taken there).

I am so in love with the Berry Red Trendy Twine
For the challenge we needed to use the colors RED, WHITE and BLUE in our project.  Since I love to do paper piecings I decided to use my handy, dandy old Cricut Expression and cut me out something.
So, I used a file by PPbN. She has adorable cutting files. I will also be a guest designer for the month of July for her...so excited for that also!
Here is what I came up with:
 Cat with a big HAT!
I used the Blueberry Blue and the Berry  Red Twine.
Don't you just love his whiskers? I twirled the twine around my pointy tool, used a little glue to hold it in place and then I used my drier to dry them, took them off my pointy tool and had some cute little curly whiskers for my cat!
Used my Trendy Twine (Blueberry and Berry) to wrap around my hat and as strings to my card stock sticker balloons.
My Cat is truly a patriotic kitty!
And there you have it, my first DT post!
Thanks for dropping in and leave me some love (comments) LOL.
Happy SAFE 4th of July!!
Blessings
